T minus 2 MONTHS!

Its hard to believe it, but in less than two months from today, we will (hopefully) be in Bolivia. We don't have plane tickets, we don't have our updated passports (due to CRAZY name change complications), and we don't have anyone to live in our apartment after we are gone. BUT we do have many other things.

One huge blessing is that I (Ann) have a job. I wasn't looking for a job, but it came. I was really hoping to simply volunteer for a few months to get my language skills back up to par. But a school offered me a job, with an offer I couldn't refuse. So, I will be teaching first grade at an American school in Cochabamba, Bolivia .

As for Drew, he is trying to get his paperwork together for his school as well. Although, he probably won't be able to do too much until we arrive in the country.

Some other cool things have happened though. From the beginning, our prayer was that God would confirm our plans to move to Bolivia. We have come into contact with quite a few people from Cochabamba, Bolivia. The bank teller, a good friend's room mate, and most recently some one shared a phone number of a missionary couple (Mr. and Mrs. Wadell) that once lived in Cochabamba.

I called the Wadell's, and they quickly invited us over for dessert. Within 5 minutes of arriving at their house, we realized that Drew and I had much more in common with this couple than simply the fact that we were interested in Bolivia. It turns out that the house Drew grew up in was also the house that Mrs. Wadell's parents owned for over 30 years! The bed Drew slept in growing up, along with the dresser in our bedroom right now, belonged to Mrs. Wadell as a child. Not only that, but Drew's dad knew Mr. Wadell from Athen's Georgia.

We were quite shocked and amazed at these connections that were popping up so quickly. The Wadell's were more than generous as they gave us advice and useful information about the city. They also gave us some contacts in Cochabamba, namely the bishop and his wife (Wheaton grads, with a daughter 2 years behind Drew at Wheaton). Another contact they gave us was the name of a woman who has moved to Bolivia and married a Bolivian. It turns out that I am taking her place as a first grade teacher at the exact same school! She gave me some helpful information about the school, and also which classroom to ask for.

Needless to say, its been quite incredible to see God confirm each step we have taken. Thats been our prayer all along. So, here we go!
