. . . AND housemates!
Here we are pointing down from the big Christ statue right at our house. Can you tell which one? And the couple next to us is Jenny and John, two people we have only known 8 days naw and have decided to live with! I Ann already told you a little about them in the last post, but we are excited about our little Christian community on the hill. The house is on the side of the mountain directly above the school so they all can walk to school and the trufi (Bolivian for small bus or taxi) that passes by our house goes right to my university. We are looking forward to getting to know the neighbors and loving on our new community. In fact, an old man, the father of our landlord, is going to live in a guest room downstairs. It will make our house much safer and gives him a place to live
and gives us a chance to get to know our first bolivian! We are considering putting a fusball table downstairs for the neighborhood kids. The idea came to us after playing fusball in the street with a few shoeshine kids. And now we have some friends on the street. So we have space if anyone wants to come visit. More on the house later.
