Thanksgiving

Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving feast last night. Everything went well, the food even tasted like home (it was a little weird eating dark grey sweet potatoes though). We ate: grilled spicy pork, grilled chicken, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato salad, cranberry suace, dressing, green beans, carrots, creamed corn, brocolli casserole, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and banana cake with cream cheese frosting.

We had over 50 people come over to the house. including friends, Church family, and neighbors all here together playing and eating. I didn't think we were going to have enough to eat when everyone got in a line. Suddenly, I realized how much 50 people really is. I don't think I have ever prayed over food for so hard or so long. I was praying that the food would be multiplied and that the gas wouldn't run out in our stove. My prayers were answered. We lined everyone up, little kids first and gave about quarter sized servings of everything, which did fill their plates. And we even had some left overs to give to friends.

Some guys from Church brought up a ping pong table so we could play. We had kids running all over the place playing pick-up-sticks, Jenga, dominoes (used as building blocks and rocks), and Mancala. All in all, I think it was a huge success. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, even the women cleaning our kitchen afterwards were giggling like little girls.

Somehow, it wouldn't let me flip this image.

I don't know why your mom bothered asking if Drew behaved...we all know the answer to that, I'm sure. Looks awesome, and I'm VERY impressed that you pulled of feeding 50 people!
