This time, I am taking a different approach. I am going to use this blog as a way to discipline myself to sit down and write what is happening. I am hoping that will also be more of a help to Drew and myself sit and reflect on what is happening instead of letting life pass us by. So, my goal is once a week to post something. During the summer, it should be easy to reach my goal, seeing as I won't have a real job keeping me occupied from 8-4 every day.

For this week, I would like to introduce who we will be working with. The reason we are able to go back and work in Bolivia is because of some friends we made in Cochabamba, Juan and Eva (pictured above). Juan is from Peru while Eva is from Cochabamba. They have a son named Felipe.
Juan and Eva have worked in many different areas in Bolivia. Eva is a trained psychologist and helped to begin a group of safe houses for at risk girls in Cochabamba. Juan and Eva have worked together with Intervarsity at the university in Cochabamba bringing up a solid group of youth that love Jesus.
Drew met Juan and Eva through the Fraternidad Teologica Latinoamericana (Latin American Theological Fraternity). This is one thing we really appreciate about Juan and Eva. They don't keep to themselves in their own corner of the globe, but also coordinate with others and continue learning about what is happening in the larger Church community of Latin America. They are eager to coordinate with others and work together.
We have a lot to learn from Juan and Eva. We are so excited to come under this couple to learn how to love Bolivians in Santa Cruz. Drew is excited because he has found someone else who appreciates Peruvian food just as much as he does.
