The time at home is good too. Although we have been somewhat busy running errands, we have been able to spend a good amount of time with family and friends too. As Drew says, "Our full time job right now is to hang out."
I am headed to Bolivia tomorrow. I'll be gone for about a week and a half on a medical missions trip with Woodland Park. I will be there a few days early to spend time with Juan and Eva, then I'll even get to spend a little time with the women in Cochabamba (I hope). It feels a little surreal, to be going for such a short amount of time. After so long, I think its going to feel a little frustrating because I will want to catch up with old friends and spend more time hanging out than this trip is designated for. But, hopefully, that will help me come back and say my goodbye's here, reminding me that for the next bit, my life's focus is on those relationships in Bolivia.
In closing, I want to express how much God has blessed us. Drew and I have something new almost every week that comes up that reminds us of God's blessings in our lives. I can't list in detail all that is happening here. But a few things I am thankful for are:
- Support has been coming in very steadily. Each week, we have had some large donation that we weren't expecting at all. I really can't believe how much we have raised, and how it keeps coming. Praise God!
- We are working with a group that might be our first to come and be a part of our program as soon as this summer. They would come down regularly, and possibly have some ongoing projects. This is such an exciting thing, and truly, a blessing that we are able to be in Chattanooga this month to talk with them and make those personal connections.
- We are thankful that luggage isn't going to be too big of an issue. We are able to carry extra bags down on this missions trip. When Drew and I go down at the end of the month, we hope to only have one bag each.
- We are thankful for the overwhelming encouragement that we have received from family and friends. As hard as it is to leave our friends and family, we have been so blessed to have people who have spoken good works of encouragement into our lives. We don't feel as if we are going alone. We really feel we have a support system that is behind us too.
