The sun is up so early here, and it comes up right into our room. It makes sleeping past 6am difficult, even with curtains. But, that means that we can be extra productive in our days. We get up and do laundry, go on a run or a walk, and other such things before it gets too hot out.
This is our first week of work. We got back from Cochabamba on Monday afternoon, and began work on Tuesday. This first week, we are going over roles and responsibilities, cleaning up the office, restocking supplies, going through orientation/training, and meeting more people we will be working with. Its been a good week, and we are getting a lot done.
Apart from work, we have two brand new exciting things. One is a dog! A friend in Cochabamba was given a puppy as a Christmas present from a family member. But, she already has 2 dogs and 2 kids, and doesn't want any more mouths to feed. So, she asked us if we wanted this puppy. It just so happens that the dog is half boxer, exactly what Drew wanted. And, she is really cute, with her big brown eyes and wrinkly forehead. So, we named her Ginger, and we both love her. She is a very good dog, except for the giant poo she left on the patio this morning.
We also got a brand new stove! This thing has all the bells and whistles of a Bolivian stove. It came even with a chicken roaster inside. We can put a whole chicken in our oven, and it will spin and roast itself! We'll put pictures of that up when we buy a chicken to roast. Anyways, the stove is a big deal, because that means we don't have to go out to eat every night now. We actually have other options of food.
The pictures of both new things are up above, for some reason Blogger won't let me move them. hmmm...
