First Day of School

I should have known this was an exceptional school where parents are extremely involved when I had parents video taping their childs first day of 2nd grade. Really, this school is quite elite. Also, I have spent a lot of time in the inner city where school is on the other end of the spectrum from CCS in Bolivia. I have 16 kids on my roster, but only 13 showed up today. I gave the kids some work today, just to see where they were. They basically blew all the second grade work away, as in they made 100s. The books I thought they wouldn't be able to read until the end of the year, they were reading before school started. Sheesh. I guess this wasn't the challenge I was expecting, but thats ok. We had fun, and the kids learned a new game: red light, green light. They loved it.
