We arrived in Cochabamba on Wednesday morning. Altitude sickness aside, we are doing fine. We finally got our luggage yesterday, and have spent the past few days getting a cell phone, figuring out the city, seeing the school where I will be teaching. However, most of our time has been spent looking for a place to stay. We are still looking, with a few posibilities in mind. We will post pictures when we have something.
First impressions of Cochabamba have been very positive. The city is large, and surrounded by mountains. Its hard to not have a view of them almost anywhere in the city. The people have been warm and friendly and we have begun to make a few friends. The food is good, not to mention you can get almost anything you want for cheap!
We visited my school, Calvert, on Thursday. It is a beautiful campus, with everything outside, even the cafeteria. I got a surprise, I will be teaching not 1st grade, but 2nd. My classroom has a most incredible view, and I have already met one student. The people who we met at school are very kind and friendly. We are already planning dinner parties, and bike trips down the world´s most dangerous road (near Thanksgiving, so we can have a lot to be thankful for).
Perhaps one of the biggest blessings has been another couple we met. They are both going to be teachers at Calvert, we met them in Miami. John and Jenny are from Alexandria, VA.
We have had so much fun hanging out with them, and its encouraging to get to know another couple who are Christians, excited about living, adventurous, and love everyone they come into contact with.
We are excited to be here, and look forward to settling in.
Thats all for now.
Chao.

Ok, Mom is coming down next week to help set up her bedroom in your new home!! I'll bring the fly fishing stuff for Dad and a ping pong table to set revenge on Drew. We're thinking that Labor Day would be a great time to travel and stay until after Christmas!!! : ) Sure wish we could! -Love, Mom
