We had a wonderful Halloween. At school, my kids dressed up and danced. The elementary classes had to prepare a dance to present their costumes, while high school had to dance in a competition. Afterwards there was food and games. It was a fun time for the whole school to be together. 
Then, in the evening, we watched Nightmare Before Christmas with 14 kids. During the movie, we probably had 50 trick-or-treaters who came not because they knew about Halloween, but because they heard we were passing out candy. Sometimes it seemed like we were stopping the movie every 5 minutes to answer the door again, but it was nice to have people in our house again.
