In all of the craziness, Drew and I have been so thankful that we have been able to be a part of all of these things, particularly being here for our families during difficult times. It has been somewhat overwhelming at the same time though. I had my list of things that I wanted to do this summer to prepare for our move to Bolivia, and hardly any of those things have happened. I am just now able to send in all our paperwork to the government for special seals and approvals for our Bolivia visas. I haven't even begun to read the stack of books I wanted to, and I haven't even thought of what to do with all this stuff we have accumulated in the past year. I feel like I keep telling people that "next week will be better," but its always the same.
Drew and I finally got a chance to talk and catch up last night with each other. More than anything, we both acknowledge God's grace in our lives in the fact that we aren't anxious about the future. There is a lot to be done, and it can be overwhelming, but it is getting done, little by little.
As for a Bolivia update, we have begun our fundraising and "speaking engagements" (aka sharing what we are going to be doing). We are so thankful for those who have been an encouragement to us already by supporting us in prayer, financially, or with gracious words. We haven't been able to talk as frequently with Juan and Eva in Bolivia because of a combination of unpredictable internet service in Bolivia, and life here. In the little we have been able to talk, we have heard many encouraging stories of many doors opening up, as the need is great.
